How The F.L.O.R. Project Works
Throughout his life, Jesus met practical needs of those who became followers. Likewise, The F.L.O.R. Project begins with helping in practical ways, starting with micro-loans for those who want to start or expand a small business to better meet the physical needs of their families and employees. These relationships then allow us to share the Gospel with them so that they may be touched by God’s love.
The F.L.O.R. Project becomes a self-fulfilling project for the churches who administer the micro-loans. Initially, funds are provided from those donated by people like you, to churches to begin offering micro-loans to local businesses. The churches collect the payments from the businesses, which then are used to fund additional businesses going forward. And throughout this process, the churches become stronger, providing their members more opportunities to share their faith with those around them. Everything begins and ends with God!
While it will never be required that a person must be a Christian in order to qualify for a loan, there will be one string attached – while the loan is outstanding, the loan recipient must attend Bible study once per week. We know that God’s word will not return void and that when a person is touched by the love of God, that person will reach a decision point. God will meet those who are willing to choose the way of righteousness through Jesus Christ with open arms.
The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me,
practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
